In this residential project, the bedroom walls had sustained significant damage from water leaks, leaving unsightly stains and cracks. We performed detailed wall repair work, including plastering to restore the wall’s structure and smoothness. The client chose a neutral paint color to match their bedroom decor. The room was revitalized with a clean finish that looked as good as new.

Our process began with a thorough inspection of the affected areas to identify the underlying causes of damage. We documented all imperfections, including hairline cracks, deep gouges, and moisture-related damage, to develop a tailored plan for restoration.
Steps Involved:
- Surface Preparation:
The first step was removing all loose paint, plaster, and debris to create a clean and stable base for repairs. Damaged sections were carefully scraped away, and the area was cleaned to ensure proper adhesion of the new plaster. - Repairing Cracks and Holes:
For cracks, we widened them slightly to allow the filler to bond effectively, then filled them using a high-quality wall filler or joint compound. Larger holes were patched with mesh or drywall tape for reinforcement before applying the filler. Each repaired section was sanded smooth to ensure a seamless blend with the surrounding surface. - Plastering:
Once the walls were repaired, we applied a fresh layer of plaster to level and smooth the surface. This included:- Base Coat: A thick base coat was applied to address uneven areas and provide a strong foundation.
- Skim Coat: A thin finishing coat of plaster was added for a smooth, polished appearance. This coat was carefully applied to ensure a flawless texture ready for painting or other finishes.
- Moisture Protection (if applicable):
For areas with water damage, we used moisture-resistant plaster and applied a sealant to prevent future problems. This step ensured the walls were durable and protected from potential leaks or humidity. - Final Sanding and Smoothing:
After the plaster dried, the entire wall was sanded to achieve a uniform surface. This step was essential for a perfect finish, ensuring that the repaired areas blended seamlessly with the original wall.
Outcome:
The repaired and plastered walls were smooth, even, and ready for painting. The client opted for a neutral paint color, which we applied after the plastering process was complete. The transformation was remarkable: previously damaged and unsightly walls were restored to a like-new condition, enhancing the overall appearance and value of the property.
The client was highly satisfied with the result, praising our attention to detail and the durability of the work. They now have a space that not only looks beautiful but is also better protected against future damage.
